BIOGRAPHY

In 2014 during the free time between rehearsals with Pedra Papel Tesoura and other projects, Rui and Filipe began to reunite in Bullstrike Studio, and with big urge to blast some noise, they started to create the first Orangotango songs. During this year, after Ghob ended its activity , Carlos switched the 6 strings for the 4 strings and started to play bass in this project. The Beast was ready to go into the wilderness. Since then, Orangotango played on some of the most iconic venues in Porto such as Cave 45 and Woodstock 69 and are now ready to launch their first album “Sumatra”. Five songs of crushing psychedelic stoner/doom, inspired by a neverending range of musical landscapes.
